Living in Michigan or travelling through? Interested in seeing the latest agricultural technology and ideas? Visit the Michigan Ag Expo from July 16th through July 18th by the campus of Michigan State University (go Spartans – my alma mater) Here’s a few things that will be going on:

• Skid Steer, Telehandler & Wheel Loader Ride & Drive

• Alpaca Products: Hand Spinning Demonstration

• Biodiesel ProductionDemonstration

• Hands-on Commodities Trading Simulation for Youth

• Educational Sessions Featuring: Smart Gardening, Beekeeping, Farm Bill Update, Contracts and Contract Negotiation, Forage Plant Identification in Pastures and Estate Planning

• Wheel Chair Test Drive in Rough Terrain, sponsored by Michigan AgrAbility.

There is free Admission and parking as well, and golf carts are available for the disabled on a first-come, first-served basis at the show.

I’d like to point out especially the wheel chair test drive or ‘wheelchair rodeo’ that will be going on the entire time. There will be a number of different types of wheelchairs available to test out.

We’ll be there as well, in the “Wheelchair Rodeo Tent” with one of our wheelchairs and with some other items you can try out to see how they can make your job easier, or even possible!
