Sheep Chair

Workers with shoulder, back, and strength disabilities will be able to trim feet and do vet work on sheep without having to hold the animal.

Description

Workers with shoulder, back, and strength disabilities will be able to trim feet and do vet work on sheep without having to hold the animal. Restraining sheep can be a difficult task while trying to trim feet or tag ears. The sheep chair will safely hold your sheep in a semi-recumbent sitting position while leaning up against a gate. Once seated, sheep will sit quietly without tying down.

Workers with common conditions such as these would benefit from a Sheep Chair: Ankle Pain, Arm Amputation, Balance / Core Stability, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Diabetes/Diabetic Neuropathy, Herniated Disc, Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, Lower Extremity Impairments, Lumbar/Low Back Pain, Old-Age, Rotator Cuff Injury, Scoliosis-Kyphosis-Lordosis, Osteoarthritis (weight bearing joints).

  • Holds sheep securely in a relaxed position (even large rams and pregnant ewes) for hoof trimming.
  • Allows use of both hands to trim feet, tag ears, examine and medicate.
  • All but eliminates both wear on shepherds’ backs and stress on animals. Shepherds aren’t hunched over and sheep are seated in a comfortable mesh.
  • Adjustable width for all sizes. Max width: 16″. Minimum width: 10″. Adjustable kick plate prevents animal’s hind legs from catching on chair’s legs and mesh.
  • Elastic webbing is a thick weave of elastic shock cord. Replacement webbing is available through Premier 1 Supplies.
