Description
This Manually Powered Log-Skidding Arch
Workers trying to move logs individually without the use of power equipment can use the manual log skidding arch to more easily move logs. Instead of dragging with a chain, the Manually Powered Log-skidding Arch is designed to pick up and carry (fully suspended) any straight log up to 18″ diameter and weighing 1100 lbs. When grabbed at its midpoint, the log’s entire weight is on the tool’s wheels, minimizing one’s effort to turn, re-position, or haul it. Pulling down on (or pumping) the handle produces a toggling action, which not only lifts the log but also is helpful in moving it (a foot at a time) up an incline or over rough terrain.
Workers with common conditions such as these would benefit from a Firewood Cart: Aging, Arm Amputation, Arthritis, Balance / Core Stability, Cancer, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Diabetes/Diabetic Neuropathy, Fused Vertebrae, Heart Disease, Leg Amputation, Lumbar/Low Back Pain, Mobility Impairment, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Paraplegia, Prosthetic Limb, Replaced Joints (Arthroplasty), Rotator Cuff Injury, Scoliosis-Kyphosis-Lordosis, Shoulder Replacement, Slipped Disc, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Vertigo, Osteoarthritis.
