Powerlift Tractor Step Assist

Access Lawn Tractors easier!

Description

A Powerlift Tractor Step Assist for lawn tractor or lawnmower helps workers with mobility impairments climb to the operator station with more stable footing. Mowing grass can be done for employment or personal home maintenance and is a good opportunity for workers with disabilities to get back to work outside. A boarding step should have non-slip surface, and ideally a stable grab bar to assist climbing.

Workers with common conditions such as these would benefit from a lawnmower step:

Aging

Amputation

Arthritis

Balance / Core Stability

Bariatric

Cancer

CP

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Fibromyalgia

Fused Vertebrae

Hip Pain

Total Hip Replacement

Knee Pain

Total Knee Replacement

Leg Amputation

Leg Impairments

Lower Extremity Impairments

Mobility Impairment

MS

Muscular Dystrophy

Neuropathy

Prosthetic Limb

Replaced Joints – Arthroplasty

Stroke

TBI

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Degenerative Joint Disease

A powerlift step uses a 12V electric linear actuator to raise a worker to a utility tractor operator’s station without climbing. The steps up to the operator’s stations are steep and tall. Workers often cannot safely climb and lift themselves with one leg, especially when they have knee surgery. They can use a powerlift step to raise up and then walk directly from the step to the tractor seat without climbing. The powerlift step needs 300-pound capacity, raise at least 16-inches, have 12” x 14” standing surface, not damage crops during tractor use, and maintain existing tractor ground clearance. This simple design uses a ‘tube sliding in a tube’ concept.
