Handrail Grip Tape

Falling is a common cause of injury in the workplace.

Description

Handrail Grip Tape can be used in numerous applications such as handrails, tool handles, walking surfaces, and others.   Workers will find it easier to grasp objects if they have strength deficits.

  • FindTape HGT Handrail Grip Tape is a non-abrasive anti-slip tape which also prevents cold temperatures from transferring to the handrail user. The plastic material used in the grip tape is an excellent insulator and helps to make sure your surface conforms to regulations requiring that handrail surfaces not be cold to the touch.
  • There are various methods of application; however, for the best adhesion a Tight Spiral Application ensures great rail coverage and provides for better adhesion than a horizontal application because allows for more surface area of the railing for the tape to adhere to. Use a Spaced Spiral Application as a cost-saving application that only covers part of the railing but still allows a strong and holdable grip. A Horizontal Application is not recommended since adhesion will not be very strong.
  • To further reduce the chances of the grip tape being cold, a base of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is added to serve as an exceptional barrier from the cold.
  • The grip for FindTape HGT has a rubber-like finish and features dimples to increase the users hold onto the surface. The non-abrasive finish gives this a gentle feel to ensure it is comfortable and is easy to clean. The material will not retain water which helps to prevent surface freezing. This tape can be used for indoor or outdoor handrails.
