Description
Drip irrigation systems are set up beside garden plants to provide constant water supply to the roots without dragging hoses or moving sprinklers. One the system is set up in the spring, watering is as easy as turning on the faucet! Holding watering wands and dragging hoses to gardens can be very difficult for workers with arthritis, carpal tunnel, hand injuries, balance problems, replaced hips or knees, or other mobility impairments.
By setting up the irrigation system in the garden beds in an orderly way, the workers simply connects a garden hose to the soaker hose and turns on the faucet. Smaller amounts of water are needed because the water sprinkles close to the soil instead of dripping onto foliage from above.
