Description
Retractable Ratchet straps can be used with one hand to quickly tie down loads on trucks or trailers. The ratchet hook is secured to the trailer, then the strap is pulled over the load and hooked to the other side of the trailer. The retraction spring holds tension on the strap so the ratchet handle only needs 1 or 2 cycles to tighten down the load. When releasing the load, simply loosen the ratchet and unhook the strap. The spring retracts the strap for easy storage.
The retractable ratchet straps are easier to use than standard ratchet straps for workers with arm or hand disabilities. They are easily deployed with one hand without threading straps and adjusting length as standard tie downs require. Permanently fastening the ratchet body to the trailer or truck frame makes the straps even more ‘handy’. By fastening the ratchet to a ladder rack, truck bed or trailer, the worker does not need to hold the ratchet body, but can use his strong arm to wrap the strap and operate the ratchet handle. This is a must-have for any worker who needs to tie-down loads, such as carpenters, farmers, loggers, home owners, groundskeepers, landscapers or fabricators.
Workers with common conditions such as these would benefit from a Retractable Ratchet Strap: Arm Amputation, Hand injury, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome/Repetitive Motion Injury, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Quadriplegia, Rotator Cuff Injury, Shoulder Replacement, Stroke, Rheumatoid Arthritis.
